Membership
You are welcome here!
We invite you to visit our church and to become actively involved with our community of faith. First-time adult visitors are welcomed personally and given some information about who we are. We hope you will visit us often, and that (when you are comfortable) you will accept our invitation to become a formal member of our community.
Our membership is open to all: we do not discriminate on the basis of gender, race/ethnicity, physical ability, sexual orientation or age, nor do we require that you accept a lengthy catechism of doctrines. We only ask that you trust in the creative and continuing love of God, seek the revelation of God through Jesus, and sincerely wish to join us in our faith journey.
Anyone interested in becoming a formal member of San Dimas Community Church United Church of Christ may join:
- On confession or reaffirmation of faith and baptism, or
- On presentation of a letter of transfer from another church
Members are encouraged and expected to be faithful in spirit and to participate in the life of the church by attending services insofar as possible and by supporting and sharing in its organized work. Every active member of the church is entitled to vote on all matters presented to the church.
